Stakeholders Form Joint Powers Authority
The Elk Grove - Rancho Cordova - El Dorado Connector project (the "Connector") is moving into the next phase of development. Five stakeholder jurisdictions (Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, El Dorado County, and Sacramento County) have formed a joint powers authority (JPA) to assume responsibilty for the project from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) and will be working with the information that SACOG developed. Over the next several months, the administrative structure of the JPA will begin taking shape and the technical work necessary to advance the project will commence.
